Temporarily not operated The old city, Hanyang from the Joseon Dynasty is surrounded by four mountains, Inwangsan, Bugaksan, Naksan, and Namsan. Bugaksan is the tallest one standing right behind Gyeongbokgung Palace and Blue House. We hike along the fortress and see a gate to the city. You can enjoy the nature and traditional architecture during the hike. There is 'January 21 Incident Pine Tree' on the path. In 1968, 31 North Koreans infiltrated to attack Blue House. 28 of them were killed during gunfights with South Korean police, and the tree has traces of the bullets . Continue to stroll in Bukchon Hanok village, one of the most popular spots not only for tourists but also locals due to its amazing city views and the rows of beautiful traditional houses.
